But this,is,where it’s wrong - one was a wrap tackle with the guy changing direction and running into the tackle, the other was steaming in,at he’d-height - far greater risk of injury.

Came from distance but was much lower. I don’t think that’ll be upgraded.

Watching the Irish tv panel @ ht & they all agree it was a red card, but I don't they are right. I think there is mitigation. Cane is going in the 'wrong direction', ie he is kind of going towards his own try line. He has only a couple of steps to adjust his height because Jesse Kriel changes direction & moves towards Cane. I think it was harsh.

I’m wanting NZ to win but wish their scrum half would stop screaming like a little kid.

Fair point about taking O’Driscoll out of the tour - one of the worst attempts to deliberately injure someone that I’ve seen.
But the guy with the ball turned into Cana meaning he got there sooner than planned. Letter of the law I suppose - but yellow was appropriate there.
Hopefully doesn;t destroy the,game.

Definite red card, much worse than the Curry tackle. No sympathy at all for the ABs, remember the two man tackle they perpetrated on O’Driscoll a few years back on a Lions tour.
Anyway now the ABs are a man down it means that the only way they can win is to run the ball. And that could be entertaining.

Yellow, card should have been it for that. Why the hell was there a need to upgrade that in the final?

Terrible decision. Saffas have had the refereeing go their way in this World Cup.

I'm getting nervous already 2 hours before the Final. Throughout my life in the UK I have unhesitatlngly supported two teams: West Ham and the All Blacks. The first, because i grew up in the catchment zone for the Hammers and had various connections with the players in the 60s and 70s. The second, because I was born in NZ, and supporting a team which usually won made up for supporting one which often disappointed. I would love to see the ABs subdue the Boks' physical power in the first half, then use their speed and skill to tear holes in the South Africans' defence. I hope but don't expect that Damian McKenzie will be brought on because he has awe-inspiring ability when the game is open.

You are completely missing the point.
I actually agree with you, people shouldn't be found guilty purely on the account of one person, who is claiming to be the victim of racism.
However, that game has completely changed. Look at the Yorkshire Cricket scenario, tens of people lost their jobs and had their lives ruined essentially on the back of one man's accusations. I'm not saying everything he said didn't happen, bit there was so many holes in his story, yet it didn't matter.
I also gave you the example of the Czech player, who got an instant 10 game ban for allegedly using a racist slur that one person heard.
The precedent has been set. Ordinarily, I agree with what you're saying, but those are not the rules anymore. Well, not always, as in this case strangely. THAT is the point being mad here.

Have you ever thought to yourself…. maybe you should go on a RUGBY forum for decent chat about playing in this COMMONWEALTH Cup instead of a WEST HAM UNITED FOOTBALL forum…..you thicko…..

As I said Lomas, it's been overplayed, much on here by the usual suspects with the victim mentality.
But I'd be very surprised if he had zero awareness of what he was saying to Curry or very much in his proximity.
England did better than expected through the tournament - despite an easy path. Just so poor in terms of creativity. Hopefully they can go back and build from scratch, but they need to decide what game they want to play.
Ireland have become very effective as shifting the ball out of contact, or letting the ball go just before contact to change the point of attack. Be interesting to see if they can sustain what they have built over the past few years with a few key players retiring.
Hopefully for England there can be a bit of time to develop a new gameplan and get the right players the experience to make it happen.
